At the risk of persecution by the Qing government, he contributed heart-wrenching inscriptions to martyrs fighting for the comeback of the Ming Dynasty (later compiled in Jieqiting Ji).In Hu Yu (Dialogue Beside the Lake), Quan recounted the history, origin, resorts, produces and historical figures of the Moon Lake in the form of questions and answers, leaving ample materials for the Moon Lake coupled with his strong affection.
