Chrysanthemum Islet is located on the northernmost tip of the eastern bank of Moon Lake. In ancient times, the islet was imbued with the aroma of chrysanthemum. Especially in rainy days, the purity and transcendence of the yellow flowers was beyond words. Later the Korea embassy in the Northern Song Dynasty was replaced by the Yuewang Mansion for Minister Shi, the residences of Governor Feng, Minister Feng, Shi Zhongxuan, Baokui Temple and Shuize Tablet. In the Yuan Dynasty, Flower Hall for Fang Clan was most known. In the Ming Dynasty, there established the residences and houses for Korean Zhang, minister Zhang, Officer Zhang, Court Recorder Chen, Mr. Xu, Bangyan Ge (the second place in the palace examination), Censor Xu, and governor Shi. Shi Hao is one of the most influential figures in local who held high position and assisted three emperors. He tried to re-energize the spirit of Song Dynasty and got the unjust case of Yue Fei righted, thus heralding a era for his clan. Chrysanthemum Islet and its northern area still reserve the residences and houses of Fan, Yue, Lu and Chiang. You can also see the Shuize Tablet and the complex of Baokui Temple and Baokui Lane.
